Large selection of toppers and mattress protectors
At HOME-TEX you will find a wide range of toppers and mattress protectors in high quality that ensure you an optimal night's sleep. A topper or mattress protector protects your bed, increases comfort and extends the life of your mattress by protecting it from wear and dirt. We have many different toppers in foam, latex and memory foam so you can find the one that best suits your needs. A topper can make a big difference to your sleep. With us you will find toppers and mattress protectors in all sizes, including U-split and H-split models for adjustable beds. We also offer extra long toppers and mattress protectors so you can get the perfect fit for your bed.
The topper and the mattress protector both lie in the top part of the bed, but they have two different purposes. The topper is the layer you choose when you want to affect the bed's comfort and firmness. The mattress protector is the thinner, washable layer that helps protect the mattress or topper underneath. In all beds it therefore makes sense to use both to extend the life of the bed's other mattresses.
Choose a topper based on the comfort you miss
When we describe toppers in polyfoam, latex and memory foam, we refer to the material in the topper's core. The core is decisive for how the surface reacts when you lie down, turn or change sleeping position.
Memory foam molds to the body's heat and pressure. The material yields especially around the shoulders, lower back and hips and creates a soft and enveloping lying surface. It can be a relevant choice if the bed feels too firm, or if you prefer to sink a little into the topper.
Latex provides a more elastic and resilient surface. The material straightens quickly when you move, and you will therefore typically experience that you lie more on top of the topper than in it. This can make it easier to turn during the night. Latex cores often also have small ventilation holes that allow air to move through the material and thereby increase breathability in the core.
Polyurethane foam provides a simpler comfort layer and usually affects the feel less than memory foam and latex. It can be a good and cost-effective choice if the mattress already supports as it should and you simply want an extra layer between the body and the mattress.
Temperature-regulating and cooling toppers and mattress protectors
If you often get warm at night, you can choose a temperature-regulating topper or a temperature-regulating mattress protector. These models are developed to help conduct excess heat away from the body and create a more comfortable temperature on the sleeping surface.
The cooling or temperature-regulating effect comes from the product's filling or cover, which is designed to draw heat away from the body. This applies to both our toppers and mattress protectors, where some models have a specially cooling cover.
A cooling topper or mattress protector will of course not change the temperature of the bedroom itself, but can help reduce the feeling of a warm and close sleeping surface. This can be especially relevant if you usually get warm when you sleep or if you prefer a more tempered surface through the night.
Always check the product description for the individual model, as the temperature-regulating function and material composition can vary from mattress to mattress.
Height and comfort zones on your topper
The topper's height tells you how much material lies between the body and the mattress below. A low model provides a lighter comfort layer, while a higher topper gives the body more material to sink into. The choice therefore depends not only on whether you prefer a high or low model, but also on the bed's current comfort.
Some toppers are divided into comfort zones. Here the core is shaped so that it does not give uniformly from head to toe. Around the shoulders and hips, which are the body's widest points, the material can be more yielding, while the areas at the waist, back and legs can provide more support and be experienced as firmer. In this way the topper better accounts for the body's different loads on the sleeping surface.
Mattress protectors for children and adults
Our range of mattress protectors includes models for both adults, children and babies. A mattress protector functions as a protective top mattress that keeps your bed hygienic and clean. We have mattress protectors for single beds, double beds and special sizes as well as allergy-friendly mattress protectors that reduce moisture and dust mites.
A mattress protector is also called a mattress cover, and the name very precisely describes its main function. It is placed directly under the sheet and on top of the mattress or topper. Here it absorbs some of the moisture, sweat and daily wear that would otherwise affect the bed's other layers.
Many mattress protectors have elastics in the corners. They are pulled down over the corners of the mattress or topper and help keep the mattress protector in place when you turn during the night.
The mattress protector does not have a thick core of polyfoam, latex or memory foam like a topper. It is significantly thinner and manufactured so that it is easier to remove, wash and put back on the bed. That makes it practical in everyday life because you do not have to clean the mattress itself every time the top layer of the bed needs washing.
Mattress protectors in different materials
Mattress protectors are available in several materials and compositions. Cotton is a popular choice because it is absorbent and comfortable close to the body. Microfiber is light, durable and easy to maintain. Models with silk or down can provide a fuller and more exclusive surface, while bamboo can be used in mattress protectors focused on a soft and breathable textile surface.
The material affects how the mattress protector feels, how quickly it dries and how it should be washed. Therefore it is a good idea to look at both the material composition and the washing instructions before you choose. The softest or plushest model is not necessarily the most practical if it does not suit the way the mattress protector will be used and washed.
Some mattress protectors tolerate higher washing temperatures than others. This can be an important detail in baby and children's beds where the mattress protector is expected to be washed often. Always follow the product's instructions so that filling, seams and surface retain their shape as best as possible.
Toppers and mattress protectors in many sizes
Both the topper and the mattress protector must have the same length and width as the sleeping surface they are to cover. When the measurements match, the bed's different layers lie more evenly and cover the mattress from edge to edge.
At HOME-TEX you will find toppers and mattress protectors for single beds, one-and-a-half beds, double beds and beds with extra length. We also offer models with H-Split and U-Split for adjustable beds.

Finish the bed with the right sheet
The sheet is placed on top of the mattress protector. If you have a topper, a Topper fitted sheet can be a practical solution because it is sewn to fit tightly around the edges and corners of the topper.
The topper provides the comfort, the mattress protector makes daily protection more practical, and the sheet completes the bed's top layer. When the sizes match, each layer can perform its own function.
