It can easily be removed and washed, which protects the topper from a large part of daily wear as well as moisture and dirt that would otherwise more easily penetrate the topper.
On top of the mattress protector you should use a sheet. For the topper itself we especially recommend a topper fitted sheet, which is sewn to fit tightly around the topper and thus provides a smooth and comfortable lying surface.
If a mattress protector is not for you and the cover still needs to be washed, it is important to follow the washing instructions carefully for the specific product. For the best result, we also recommend washing the cover at a maximum of 800 rpm. Avoid tumble drying, and instead lay the cover completely flat to dry so it retains its shape as well as possible.
