Essenza is an international lifestyle brand with Dutch roots that for more than 60 years has designed and produced home textiles with a focus on aesthetics, quality and comfort. The brand started in 1961 when Mr. Van Es founded a company for bed and swimwear in the Netherlands, and it later developed into Essenza Home - a family-owned brand with a wide collection of bedding, towels, homewear and accessories.

The Essenza Home brand is Dutch and has designed and produced stylish home textiles for almost 60 years. The company was founded in 1961 by Mr. Van Es and was taken over by Roeland Smits in 1994. From there it grew quickly and became a family-run business in expansion.

Sustainability and comfort are two main areas when it comes to production. Back in 2016, Essenza signed the Dutch agreement on sustainable clothing and textiles. The agreement includes the Dutch government, trade unions, industry partners and social organizations such as UNICEF and Solidaridad. Furthermore, the agreement covers 9 areas including child labor, low wages, discrimination and environmental pollution.
