Storage bag for duvets and pillows - It is important to store your duvets and pillows correctly when they are not in use. Whether it's the summer or winter duvet that needs packing away or a guest duvet that needs storage, you can use a duvet bag. You should never pack them into plastic, because it is important that the duvet and pillow can 'breathe' and have ventilation to maintain their full functionality. The storage bag is made of fabric with small air holes, ensuring that air can reach the duvet/pillow. There are practical handles for carrying and a zipper for quick and efficient packing.
Make sure the duvet and/or pillow are COMPLETELY dry before you pack them. We always recommend washing the duvet/pillow before you pack it away for storage.
Washing down duvets and pillows:
All down products can be washed at 60 degrees in a regular washing machine (Min 7kg!). After washing, it is important that the duvet or pillow is thoroughly dried in a tumble dryer, with 2-3 tennis balls added. The tennis balls ensure that clumped down clusters are released and open up during the drying process. We recommend washing your pillow 3-4 times a year, and your duvet 1-2 times a year in connection with switching between summer and winter duvets.
Ongoing maintenance:
To enjoy your duvet for many years, it's important to maintain it regularly. When you get up in the morning, allow it to release the moisture it absorbed during the night. Shake your duvet when you make the bed; this keeps the duvet full, light and airy. Remember to shake from different sides so the filling stays evenly distributed. You should air both duvet and pillow as often as possible, but always while they are in their cover — and never in direct sunlight. It's important to avoid vacuuming or beating the duvet. Use a soft brush instead.
