A weighted blanket, such as this, is produced to create greater bodily calm for those for whom it does not always come naturally. The blanket is filled with tiny and very fine glass beads, which give the blanket its weight and heaviness. This weight creates a reassuring element for the body and nervous system, thereby giving the body a better opportunity to relax. Some use the weighted blanket every day all night, others use it in periods or only to fall asleep.

This weight blanket with a soft cover is an upgrade to your night's sleep and calm if you have difficulty sleeping in the evening or perhaps often wake up during the night. Here the blanket can help your body find calm and give your mind the opportunity to pause activity in the body. How much the blanket should weigh to provide the best foundation for maximum comfort and calm is very individual; therefore the weighted blankets come in different weight classes and sizes.

The blanket should not be used by persons with low body weight, small children or pregnant women. The blanket must not be used by children under 3 years. We recommend that you choose a weighted blanket that corresponds to around 10% of your body weight. If you have difficulty turning over at night, choose a weighted blanket that is slightly under 10%.

Function of the blanket:
The weight from the glass bead blanket stimulates the body's nervous system and thereby calms the body and mind, making it easier to settle. For many it can be a major challenge to get the body down into a relaxed state in the evening, and the thoughts as well. This blanket is produced to address exactly this challenge.
