What is cotton satin?

Cotton satin is bed linen made from cotton woven in a satin weave. This weaving method gives the fabric an extra smooth, soft and slightly glossy surface, while still preserving the breathable properties of cotton.

What does thread count (TC) mean?

Thread count, also known as TC, refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. The higher the TC, the finer the weave, the softer the surface and the better the durability. At HOME-TEX, we offer cotton satin bed linen with a thread count of up to TC300.

How do I wash cotton satin bed linen?

The bed linen should be washed inside out and fully unfolded to protect the colours and surface. Always follow the washing instructions and typically wash at 60 degrees. Cotton satin can usually be tumble dried and ironed.

What do pattern and weave mean on cotton satin?

Patterns on cotton satin can either be printed or woven into the fabric. With jacquard weaving, the pattern is woven directly into the fabric, creating a subtle and exclusive look that stays beautiful wash after wash. Printed patterns are applied to the surface of the fabric. Digital print provides a more detailed and sharp look with clear colours. Regardless of the method, cotton satin retains its soft and smooth surface.
