The eiderdown is hand-collected in Iceland.
The precious eiderdown comes from Iceland, where it is hand-collected after the ducklings have left the nest. Then it is gently sorted and cleaned on a down harp, where everything is done by hand power. 

The production of the eiderdown duvet takes place entirely on nature's terms. The Icelandic collectors do their best to create good conditions for the eider ducks and protect them. 

When you have purchased an eiderdown duvet, you have bought a duvet that can last for decades. The eiderdown can be cleaned and reused and simply sewn into a new duvet cover.
