The top choice

Our favourite muscovy down duvet is the best-selling duvet, and it's easy to see why. These duvets are filled with exquisite muscovy down, comparable to the luxurious eiderdown, offering an ultra-soft, light and fluffy experience. The Favourite duvets are wonderfully comfortable, absorbing the moisture you release overnight, ensuring you don't wake up sweaty. Our favourite duvets contribute to a healthy sleeping environment and enhance your restful night's sleep. Our duvets are stitched in small square cassettes with a piped edge and channel walls, ensuring the down insulates without creating cold spots. This also means that our favourite duvets are wonderfully warm, ensuring you stay cosy all night long.

Year-round duvets

Our favourite duvets are available in a range of sizes and crafted as both an all-season duvet and a winter duvet. Our all-season duvet has a filling weight of 6-700 grams, while the winter duvet boasts a filling weight of 8-1300 grams. The fill weight of the duvets, whether an all-season duvet or a winter duvet, indicates how warm the duvets are. This can guide you in selecting the right duvet.
If you're inclined to become very warm at night, an all-season duvet with a 6-700 gram fill weight may be perfect for you, so you don't wake up hot and sweaty. Additionally, an all-season duvet can help you maintain a more balanced temperature overnight. Conversely, if you feel the chill, investing in a winter duvet with a higher filling weight will help you stay cosy at night. For some, a winter duvet is ideal throughout the year, depending on personal warmth preferences, while for others, it's too warm, even in the chilliest months. If you're unsure about which duvet is best for you, our duvet guide offers valuable advice.

As mentioned, the duvets in our preferred series, whether all-season or winter, come in various sizes. So whether you're after a single duvet, with or without extra length, or a spacious double duvet, you'll find suitable options at HOME-TEX. Our preferred series includes:
  • 140x200 cm
  • 200x200 cm
  • 220x240 cm

Don't forget the right pillow

Having chosen the perfect all-season or winter duvet, it's now time to find the ideal pillow. To ensure an optimal night's sleep, it's vital to invest in a comfortable and high-quality pillow. The Favourite series has created a luxurious pillow with three chambers, featuring the purest muscovy down in the outermost layer. The inner chamber of our pillow contains duck down and fine feathers, allowing it to provide excellent neck support. Our pillow from the Favourite series is a perfect choice if you're in search of a new one. This is a first-class pillow and is also hypoallergenic, as dust mites struggle to penetrate its cover.

Certifications

Our muscovy down duvet is produced in 100% down-proof cotton cambric, woven so tightly that house dust mites cannot pass through. This means our muscovy down duvet is classified as a hypoallergenic duvet, whether it's an all-season or winter duvet, proudly carrying the NOMITE certification. This makes this type of muscovy down duvet particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. Our Favourite muscovy down duvet also adheres to strict cleanliness and hygiene standards, with the filling washed and heat-treated to eliminate mites and other allergens. Furthermore, the Downafresh certification guarantees that the down filling meets regulations on animal welfare. Naturally, the duvets are also OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring your confidence in these textiles, which are tested for allergy and cancer-causing substances.

Tog Rating

When selecting the perfect muscovy down duvet, it is crucial to consider the duvet's tog rating. The tog rating is a unit of measurement for the quality of your muscovy down duvet that indicates the filling's ability to retain heat, commonly referred to as its insulating capacity.
Our favourite duvets boast a tog rating above 11, considered a high tog rating. In essence, this means the duvet offers excellent insulation and effectively regulates temperature.

Maintenance

Once you've chosen the perfect muscovy down duvet and pillow, we recommend following some general advice to ensure the longevity of your duvets and pillows. It's important to shake your duvet and pillow daily to lift and redistribute the filling, thereby preserving their insulating properties. If your duvets and pillows flatten over time, reviving them with a tumble dry session and a couple of tennis balls will help restore their fluffiness. We suggest washing your duvet and pillow a couple of times a year, but no more than four times, to maintain hygiene and the insulating and warming abilities of the products.
